✨ Hospitality & Events Give Back ✨
In my lockdown daily tips plan, I had dedicated Thursdays for charity but then thought, wouldn’t it be great if I donated and got more people donating too?
Welcome to #HospoGives #EventProfsGive
Each week I will be highlighting a different charity in the industry and asking everyone who can afford to, to donate £3 (or more!)
Lockdown is a difficult time for many people in our industry who are turning to these charities for help. So let’s all do our bit too!
There are many wonderful charities that I want to highlight so if you want to donate to one of them instead of the one I am donating to that week then please do. The aim is to donate and raise money for them all!
At Hospitality Action we have a whole range of support services to help hospitality people back on their feet again after a setback. Each year we help thousands of people through challenging times. We want you to know that we’re here for you when life takes an unexpected turn.
Our aim is to provide care and support to people who form the drinks industry workforce, both past and present. The Drinks Trust provides individuals with services across vocational, well-being, financial and practical support with the intention of improving the circumstances of those who receive them. Every application is assessed in complete confidence on its individual merit, without judgement or prejudice against specific criteria, and help will be provided wherever possible.
We support people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life with barriers into employment to fall in love with hospitality, leisure and tourism, as well as gain skills, knowledge and experience needed to forge a career in these amazing industries.
We work with and for these industries to advocate, support and celebrate fantastic hospitality, leisure and tourism businesses.
ONLY A PAVEMENT AWAY is a charity founded by representatives from the hospitality industry who believe that everyone deserves the chance to find and forge a career. Our aim is to act as a conduit to employment to help those people struggling to get into work, overcome hurdles by finding jobs within the hospitality, pub and restaurant industry, whilst negating the need for people to face an existence of living on the streets. Our industry is an exciting one, built on people.
8 out of 10 hospitality professionals report having experienced at least one mental health issue during their career
The Burnt Chef Project is a non-profit campaign and clothing brand operating within hospitality to challenge mental health stigma through online training, open conversations and sales of branded custom merchandise.
The project is committed to burning away the stigma and shame associated with mental health for hospitality professionals worldwide.
