The struggle for equality is as relevant today as it was 100 years ago. Instead of talking about the struggles, I want to reflect on some of the most amazing women I know in a few words. Few because I could write a book on you all.
To my mother who does so much for us out of love, thank you for teaching me kindness and to have a big heart. To always forgiving me, time after time.
To my best friends, thank you for always being there to pick up the pieces of me. You’ve seen me at my worst and built me back up. I admire your resilience and your loyalty. I couldn’t ask for better friends.
To the women in my industry, thank you for mentoring me and being someone I aspire to be one day. I look up to you and learn from you.
To my little cousins and nieces, I hope you never have to face as many struggles as we do because you are precious. Thank you for infecting us with your beautiful smiles.
To anyone woman I have hurt in the past, I hope you can forgive me.
To all amazing women out there, keep being amazing. Take up space. Be assertive. Keep on leading. Ask the hard questions. Be you. Lift each other up because we are better and stronger together.
